Queer performance collective Salon Outrē

Salon Outrē is a collective of dance, choral and spoken word performers, with a strong focus on LGBT and BAME artists, delivering inclusive arts programmes aimed at forming dialogues based on mutual respect and understanding. Performances have included 'Queer and Now' and 'Out For Revolution' at the V&A, LGBT History Month at the William Morris Gallery and Fun Palaces at the National Maritime Museum.

'A multimedia extravaganza... a fun mixture of high brown and more popular culture' - Marcus Reeve, artist and reviewer

'Impressed by the calibre of talent and professional quality of production' - Jamie Zubairi, SoSoGay.com

Additionally, talks have been presented around the country at different cultural institutions to raise awareness about the importance of diversity, equality and inclusion in galleries, libraries, archives and museums. This has included the sharing of a good practice guide for presenting LGBTQ narratives in a museum context supported by an Arts Council England grant.
